The Single Bedroom

The en-suite shower has leaked. It looks like it's been leaking for some time. That puts plans of Abigail having her own room any time soon...oh joy!

The Bathroom

Today I decided to clean the spa bath! It didn't go aswell as hoped!

The Stairs

The stairs just need decorating.

The Bathroom

The bathroom is quite tiny. The toilet and sink need moving around so that the toilet is where the sink is.
It needs full modernisation and that awful sink needs to go!

Small Bedroom

Single Bedroom

This is going to be Abigail's room. This also needs additional electric sockets, spotlights and re-decoration.

Double Bedroom

This needs re-decorating and some extra electric points. Oh and all rooms will definitely need spotlights!

The Main Bedroom & Ensuite

The main bedroom needs some decoration. As you can see at some point there was a fitted wardrobe which someone moved and then never made good, so there's chunks of coving missing!
Then there's the lovely 1980's retro stylee en suite...fabulous!

Rear of the Property & The Garden

Apparantly the reason the house doesn't have any grass is because one of the old owners had a dog who was allergic to grass. There is a random fence which is in the middle of the garden which holds about 4 metres of land behind it which is wasteland...very odd!

The Utility Room

The utility room complete with 25 year old boiler. If it isn't 25 years old, it looks like it!

The Entrance

This is the entrance.

The Downstairs Toilet

The downstairs toilet is in the entrance hall as soon as you walk into through the front door. It has lovely 1985 ceramics in a light green!

The Kitchen

The kitchen is probably 25 years old. The cupboards have been painted and the whole kitchen is covered in a layer of grease. It has a lovely strip light down the middle of it and the cooker holds more lard than I could get through in a year.
It will need all replacing eventually.

The Dining Room

The dining room has 2 lampshades and this needs some re-decoration and more electric sockets.

The Living Room

All these pictures are taken from when we came to have a look at the house before we bought it. This room is actually quite decent. It needs some spot lights, re-decorating, the fireplace removing as it is made of stud work timber.
It has six light switches, only two work, but all are live. I guess that's one mystery that needs to be solved!
Some of the electric points are broken and we will put carpet down as Abigail keeps banging her head on the laminate flooring as she is starting to crawl.

Russet Grove 22nd October 2010

We bought Russet Grove as we now have Abigail who is 6 months old. We moved in on the 22nd October 2010.
Our old house wasn't practical for a baby as it didn't have a secure garden and the layout of the house wasn't great.
This house is tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac away from main roads. It is a four bedroomed detached house and has a utility, extra bedroom and dining room which our other house didn't have. It also has the joy of a boarded out garage (Rob was so excited!) and parking spaces for two cars.
We purchased it quite a bit cheaper due to the state of the house. The owner had tenants in it and it has generally been neglected. So time for more renovations but this time with a 6 month old! Oh, and we are never moving again!
